Katarina Ziervogel is a member of Sagkeeng First Nation in Manitoba and is a Deaf screenwriter. She was raised in a family with a vision for creative arts. Her parents are both writers, so it is no secret that Katarina has inherited her passion for writing.

Alaqua Cox

Alaqua Cox is a Native American actress from the Menominee tribe, known for her breakthrough role as Maya Lopez / Echo in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Alaqua was born deaf on the Menominee Indian Reservation in Keshena, Wisconsin. During 2014 to 2015, she was a part of the girls' basketball team at the Wisconsin School for the Deaf.

Alaqua made her acting debut in the Disney+ series "Hawkeye" in 2021. Her performance was highly praised, leading to her starring in the spin-off series "Echo" in 2024. She is the first deaf actress to have her own superhero show.

Alaqua has a prosthetic leg due to amputation. In October 2023, she gave birth to a son after announcing her pregnancy. She is not married but has a fiance. The couple began dating around 2017 and announced their engagement on December 23, 2021.

Alaqua's filmography includes "Hawkeye" (2021) and "Echo" (2023–2024).
